A Simple, Crowd-Pleasing Burrata Recipe
Baked burrata sounds fancy, but it’s one of the easiest dishes you can put on the table. Warm, soft cheese paired with herbs, garlic and a bit of heat. It's straightforward, quick to prepare, and ideal for sharing. With just a few ingredients and a grill, you can make something that feels special without any complicated steps.
That’s where Harrisons Garlic and Herb Sauce does the heavy lifting. The sauce gives the burrata a ready made mix of garlic, herbs, and savoury depth, meaning there’s no need to chop, roast or prep anything extra. A spoonful provides enough flavour to season the cheese properly and balance its natural richness.
Why Burrata Works with Harrisons Garlic & Herb
Burrata is already a bit of a show-off. Slice it open and the creamy centre slowly spills out like it’s auditioning for a slow motion close up. Burrata has a mild, creamy flavour. When it’s baked, the centre turns warm and loose, which makes it ideal for dipping with bread. Because it’s so rich, it benefits from ingredients that bring structure and balance.
Harrisons Garlic and Herb Sauce adds exactly that.
-
The garlic brings warmth without overpowering the cheese.
-
The herbs add aroma and freshness.
-
The slight acidity in the sauce cuts through the fat, preventing the dish from tasting too heavy.
-
Oregano and chilli flakes provide light heat and depth.
It’s a simple bit of flavour chemistry: richness + acidity + herbs = balance. Nothing more complicated than that.
Straightforward Cooking, Real Ingredients
This recipe is a good example of how a few good ingredients can create something satisfying without fuss. It was developed with Jack’s Meat Shack, whose original video features him baking his own bread from scratch to serve alongside the burrata. Jack’s style of cooking is simple steps, solid ingredients and no unnecessary complication; which is exactly how we approach our sauces at Harrisons.
Harrisons Garlic and Herb Sauce slots easily into this kind of cooking because it brings garlic, herbs and savoury seasoning in one step. It’s made in the UK, Halal and Kosher certified, and works well on a sharing board where you’ve got a mixture of tastes at the table. It keeps things straightforward while still giving the dish the flavour it needs.
Ideal for Party Sharing Plates and Simple Hosting
Baked burrata fits naturally into the way people eat today - relaxed, shareable, and easy to build into a bigger spread. You can serve it as:
-
a starter,
-
part of a grazing board,
-
or alongside roasted veg and bread as a light meal.
It only takes about 15 minutes to cook, and because the flavour is built in from the sauce, there’s no complicated prep. The fresh herbs added afterwards bring brightness, and a squeeze of lemon lifts the cheese so it stays balanced, not heavy.
Serve it with crusty bread, crackers, focaccia, or whatever you’ve got to hand. Add olives or roasted peppers if you want to build it out into more of a platter.
A Mix of Mediterranean Flavour and British Practicality
The garlic, herbs and olive oil give this dish a Mediterranean feel, but the method is about as straightforward as British weeknight cooking gets. Heat, season, bake, serve. It works for casual evenings, quick hosting, or as the centrepiece of a simple sharing board.
Like all Harrisons sauces, the aim is the same - real flavour, no faff. A spoonful of Garlic and Herb Sauce gives the burrata structure and balance, and the grill does the rest of the work.
If you’re hosting, or you just want something straightforward but delicious, this is an ideal option, simple ingredients, clear flavours, and that familiar Harrisons balance.
