Learn To Love Your Leftovers

Christmas is over and we’re back to the daily grind here at Harrisons HQ, but some of us are still living on the leftovers of the festive period. Turkey sandwiches are so last year anyway, so why not spice it up a little?

So we thought we’d put together five nifty recipes to help you live for your leftovers well into the new year.

It’s worth noting that these recipes are suitable for more than just your cold turkey dinner. Pigs in blankets, Brussell sprouts and a whole host of other Christmas foods are still on sale well into January. In the spirit of saving money and saving food waste, why not make a meal of the unwanted food?

Bring the festive spirit back into the office, and who knows you might even be able to pack Harrison’s dipping pot or sauce sachets for an extra bit of kick!

Turkey and Sage Cannelloni

Cheesy cannelloni is the perfect addition to any meal. We’d have to have this with a dash of Harrisons ketchup!

The Only Christmas Toastie

The best way to use up your festive leftovers! This toastie uses turkey, stuffing and a little bubble and squeak to make the only Christmas toastie worth trying. We recommend bringing this one to work, making the festive feeling last a little bit longer and pack some sauce sachets for some extra flavour!

Roast Brussell Sprouts with Caramelised Onions and Baked Eggs

Brussell sprouts are often neglected in our household, but since we started adding ketchup to our broccoli we thought we’d try it with sprouts. This recipe is an amazing addition to any healthy lunchbox. We fully endorse adding ketchup to this one too!

Turkey, Sage and Onion Pasta Bake

This is such a handy way to make use of the leftover stuffing. The pasta bake contains all the best flavours from the Christmas period. The best thing about this recipe is it can be made in advance and baked as and when you need it!

The Turkey Sloppy Joe

This recipe was coined by the health chef Jamie Oliver. It’s our personal favourite from this list, purely because you can make it your own! Mr Oliver recommends adding a tub of gravy for dipping this mixture of pulled meat of crunchy exciting vegetables.

But we think a bit of mustard or ketchup would go down well here. What do you think?
